AFRO ASIA Academy’s Chibuike Obi Shines in Europe, Sets Sights on Big Dreams

Young Nigerian winger, Chibuike Obi, recently had a life-changing experience as he represented AFRO ASIA Academy (Singapore) at two of the biggest youth football tournaments in Europe — the Gothia Cup in Sweden and the Dana Cup in Denmark.

The promising talent left a mark with his performance, displaying skill, determination, and maturity beyond his years on the international stage. Competing against some of the best young talents from around the world, Obi gained vital experience that is sure to shape his growing football journey.

Reflecting on the moment, he said:
“It was an amazing experience to be part of such global tournaments. The competition was tough — you really have to work hard to stand out. But it also gave me belief. I know I’m still growing, but I’m more motivated than ever to reach the top. My dream is to play for a big club in Europe someday.”

Obi was the youngest player to represent AFRO ASIA in both competitions, a milestone he holds with pride. He also paid tribute to his Thai mother and Nigerian father, saying:
“My mom has always believed in me, and my dad pushes me to keep going. I’ll make them proud. Watch out — Obi is coming!”

Chibuike Obi’s story is just beginning, but he’s already proving that with passion and hard work, anything is possible.
